This DC-based national nonprofit had since its inception been run solely by its two founders. They were ready for the next phase and needed assistance in creating a new organizational structure (including a work plan with job descriptions and responsibilities), a fund development strategy, and short and long-term strategic plans. They also needed help managing, leading, and adapting to this major change.

Rebecca Murphy worked with the client to create a framework for running the organization going forward, including:

  • An organizational budget and org chart

  • Daily/weekly/monthly work plans

  • Job titles and descriptions based on the founders’ respective strengths 

  • Executive and leadership coaching and mentoring

  • Strategic communications and media training

  • Repositioned organizational focus and messaging

  • Revised collateral materials

  • Board training and development

  • Long-range expansion strategy and growth templates
